Rowsh workspaces can connect LinkedIn and Instagram accounts so their teams can publish posts from Rowsh. This page explains how to remove an account from Rowsh, remove past posts you imported, and have the data Rowsh holds about an account deleted.
1. What Rowsh holds about a connected account
- The account's name, handle, profile picture link and account identifiers.
- An encrypted access token that lets Rowsh publish the posts the workspace schedules.
- Identifiers and links of posts Rowsh published, and total counts for them such as impressions, likes and comments.
- If the workspace uses post history, which helps the AI writer avoid repeating earlier posts: the text, date and link of posts Rowsh read from a connected LinkedIn Page, and of posts a member imported from their own LinkedIn archive or pasted in, with a topic summary of each.
Rowsh never stores who liked, commented on or shared a post, and never reads private messages. Post statistics are kept for at most one year, and posts read from a LinkedIn Page for at most six months.
2. Disconnect in Rowsh
In the workspace, open Marketing, then Social, then Accounts, and choose Disconnect on the account. Rowsh deletes the access token at once and stops any posts still scheduled to it. Posts Rowsh read from a disconnected LinkedIn Page are deleted within a day.
3. Remove past posts you imported
In the workspace, open Marketing, then Social, then Post history. Choose Remove on a single post, or Remove imported to delete every post imported or pasted into that history. Your own history is visible only to you; the company history can be changed by people who manage the company's social accounts. When a member's account is deleted from the workspace, their own history is deleted with it.
4. Remove Rowsh from Instagram
In the Instagram app, open Settings, then Apps and websites, and remove Rowsh. Instagram tells Rowsh, and Rowsh disconnects the account from every workspace straight away. To also have Rowsh's data about the account deleted, send a data deletion request from the same Instagram or Meta settings page. Meta gives you a confirmation code; this page shows its status.
5. Remove Rowsh from LinkedIn
On LinkedIn, open Settings, then Data privacy, then Permitted services, and remove Rowsh. Rowsh can no longer post for the account, and the connection shows as needing reconnection in the workspace.
6. Ask Rowsh
Email team@rowsh.com with the subject "Social account data deletion" and the account's name or handle. Rowsh confirms the request, deletes the account's data from every workspace within one month, including posts read from its LinkedIn Page and posts imported from its archive, and tells the workspace administrators involved. See the Privacy Notice for your other rights.
7. What stays in the workspace
The text and images of posts a workspace wrote are that workspace's own content and stay in it, attributed to a removed account, unless the workspace deletes them. Posts already published stay on LinkedIn or Instagram until you delete them there.
